While socializing before the dinner, and enjoying cocktails, there was an opportunity to exam the many silent auction items that were on display on the outside patio.

Following the dinner, our special guest District Commander Dave Peebles, pledged in Squadron Commander Ron Minshall for his second term of offices. The Bridge Officers were then sworn in. He then ‘challenged’ the new members present and welcomed them to our organization. Merit Marks were then awarded to members, signifying the many volunteer hours donated to the Squadron over the past year. The Commanders’ Award went to Cedric Robertson for his work in our Training Department. The Murray Timmins Award went to Daryl & Christine Schieck, and was presented by Donna Timmins.

The Good Samaritan award went to Sharon & Allan Pope for their hard work in organizing this years COW, and ‘stepping up to the plate’ on other occasions. This was followed by an amusing explanation of our ‘Bent Prop Award’ by Allan, with some examples of past recipients escapades!

We are indebted to the many local businesses and individuals who donated items to our Silent Auction, and helped make our event the success it was.
